White Coat Ceremony

The School of Pharmacy held its 5th White Coat Ceremony in the Humanities Theatre on January 5. The White Coat Ceremony is a special tradition.  The ceremony welcomed the class of 2015 into the professional community of pharmacy and allowed the incoming students to publicly acknowledge their commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.  Why the white lab coat? The white lab coat is symbolic of the tremendous responsibility that pharmacist have as health care professionals. As pharmacists, the incoming class learned, regardless of their role or setting, people’s lives will be in their hands..
